When Megan Fox hit the big time in the late 2000s, she was the epitome of glamor. Hailed for her model looks and hot body, she was declared the world’s sexiest woman by FHM magazine in 2008, while the Los Angeles Times newspaper called her “a sex symbol of the highest order.” But Fox insisted that she was not the goddess that she appeared and that you wouldn’t want to live with her.
Fox had her breakthrough in 2007’s Transformers, in which she played Mikaela Banes. The film was a success, and Fox was catapulted into superstardom. Her looks attracted a lot of attention from men’s magazines, and soon her face and body were everywhere. But trouble was brewing, as word of a spat with Transformers director Michael Bay started to get around, and a woman who had seemed set for huge success found herself out in the cold.
Part of the trouble that her career ran into was down to her willingness to speak out. And she told The New York Times newspaper in 2018 just how tough that had been. She said, “My words were taken and used against me in a way that was – at that time in my life, at that age and dealing with that level of fame – really painful.”
Indeed, Fox was very candid in interviews, with magazine GQ reporting in 2008 that it had cut some interesting observations she’d shared on… farts. She said, “If you eat Chinese food, your farts come out like Chinese food. If you eat Mexican food, your farts come out like Mexican food. And milk, it’s like—you can smell the warmth in the fart. My wardrobe on Transformers always smells like farts, and I have no idea why.”
But it’s not Fox’s love of “bottom wind” that makes her terrible to date. By her own admission, she’s a bit of a slob. She told magazine FHM all about it in 2007. She said, “I’m horrible to live with. I don’t clean. My clothes end up wherever I take them off. I forget to flush the toilet. Friends will tell me, ‘Megan, you totally pinched a loaf in my toilet and didn’t flush.’”
