John Legend Flew Thousands Of Miles To Watch TV With Chrissy Teigen When She Was Feeling Down

If there’s one celebrity couple that seems to be constantly setting everyone new relationship goals, it’s Chrissy Teigen and her husband, singer John Legend. The model, TV star and notoriously acerbic Tweeter posted a glowing tribute to the father of her two young kids recently. After a bad day, Legend pulled out all the stops to take care of her.

The loved-up couple have been together for 12 years, after meeting on the set of his music video for “Stereo” in 2006. They got engaged at the end of 2011, then tied the knot in September 2013. Shortly before their wedding on the shores of Lake Como, Italy, Legend gave Teigen a sweet nuptial gift by writing his hit song “All of Me” for her.

The couple went on to have a girl and a boy, named Luna and Miles respectively. Teigen hasn’t shied away from discussing the ups and downs of raising two babies. Indeed, she’s become celebrated for her sharp ripostes to trolls who have criticized their everyday parenting decisions. “John never breastfed Miles” she replied to one Instagram user who queried why the couple had switched to bottle-feeding.

But even quick-witted put-down queens have their off days, and Teigen is no exception. In October 2019, she announced on Twitter that her husband had gone to extraordinary lengths to cheer her up when she was feeling down. “I do not normally brag about John, as it my schtick to make fun of him always,” she began.

His gesture, however, deserved the change of habit. “He flew from London to L.A. instead of London to D.C. to have dinner with me and watch Love Island U.K. because I haven’t been feeling like myself lately,” she wrote. “Just a few hours, but it meant a lot. Thank you.” Now, that is going the extra mile. Quite a few more than just one, actually…
