Kristen Bell is a film and television actress famous for playing Eleanor in sitcom The Good Place. Her most famous role, though, is perhaps that of Anna in the Disney animated hit, Frozen. However, when it came to making the recent Frozen II, she couldn’t keep spoilers from her kids. So she found a novel way to discourage them from talking about it.
Bell’s breakout role came as the lead character in the dark teen drama, Veronica Mars. Her first major film role was playing the title character in 2008 romantic comedy Forgetting Sarah Marshall. However, it’s as the voice of Anna, Princess of Arendelle, in 2013’s Frozen that Bell reached a worldwide audience. It was a role she reprised for the sequel, Frozen II.
Between recording her voice parts for the original Frozen and its sequel, however, Bell’s personal life had changed. In October 2013 she married longtime partner, actor Dax Shepard. While they were already parents to Lincoln, who arrived in March 2013, they welcomed their second daughter, Delta, in December 2014. Recording her parts for Frozen II, then, proved a little problematic for Bell.
Bell just couldn’t keep the plot to herself before the November 2019 release of Frozen II. As she confessed to digital radio station SiriusXM, “I told my kids everything. I was in the mood to be a cool mom.” The actress, however, realized she had broken a major clause in her contract by revealing spoilers – even to her immediate family.
Understanding her mistake, Bell needed a way to discourage her kids from telling their friends what happens in Frozen II. So she told her daughters, now aged six and five, that “all [their] teeth are gonna fall out” if they talk about the movie. “The teeth thing I stand by,” Bell admitted. “And I’m thankful now that it’s out, that I can no longer get sued by Disney.”
