The assassination of President John F. Kennedy on November 22, 1963 shook America to its very core. Over the years, many conspiracy theories have circulated about the real reason Kennedy was killed. However, what some may not know is that Kennedy’s mistress, artist Mary Pinchot Meyer, was also murdered less than a year later, and conspiracy theories surround her mysterious death as well.
Pinchot Meyer was a painter and a prominent Washington D.C. socialite. She had married a C.I.A. Agent, Cord Meyer, in 1944 and by the 1950s she and her husband moved in the same social circles as then-Senator Kennedy and his wife Jackie. In 1958, the Meyers divorced. Then, from 1961 until Kennedy’s death, the divorcee regularly attended the White House.
